Samsung just released the Galaxy Z TriFold, its first-ever multi-fold smartphone, and the competition in foldable tech has just intensified.

During its release on Tuesday, Samsung noted that the 10-inch display smartphone isn’t aimed at mass production, but rather by demand. It’s Samsung flexing innovation as the foldable market prepares for major growth in 2026.

With superfast charging, the foldable panels, the brand’s largest flagship battery yet, and a price tag of ₦3.5 million, Samsung is clearly positioning the TriFold as a premium device.

While Huawei was first with the Mate X TriFold, Samsung is now betting big on multi-fold tech to maintain its lead, and early reactions show this could shift the foldable market again.
